BE PREPARED TO LEARN

Coaches are here to teach new skills and develop the players abilities to learn and improve as the season progresses.

HAVE FUN

Always come to the gym ready to learn and ready to have some fun.  Even though we are teaching players rules and skills of the game, they are also here to have fun and make new friends.  

TRY YOUR BEST

Whatever it is you are learning, we only ask that you try your best at it!  Some skills take longer to develop than others, but as long as you try as hard to learn the more challenging skills as the ones you know already that's half the battle at getting better!

BE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL

Always be polite and respectful to all around you, that includes coaches, players, parents, referees, spectators and members of the league.  We are all here to support each other and our players, not bring each other down.  

HELP OTHERS AND COOPERATE

The most important part of being part of a team is the teamwork!  Help each other get better, listen to your coaches and do the best you can to leave with more knowledge and skill than you came in with. 

DEMONSTRATE GREAT SPORTSMANSHIP

Whether it's a teammate or an opponent, always demonstrate sportsmanship.  Help each other up, if someone is hurt take a knee until they up and ready to play or leaving the court and clap for them when they are up, no matter what team they are on.  It's ok to appreciate a nice move or play on either side of the court.

PAY ATTENTION TO INSTRUCTION

Your coaches have the skill and experience to teach you.  They take the time to develop game plans, strategies and create drills to help you get better at basketball.  Take the time to learn and grow from them.

MOVE SAFELY AND IN CONTROL

No matter what, always play safe and listen to your coach.  They are instructing for a reason, not just for drills and skills but to also make sure you are doing it safely and will not get hurt or hurt others around you.
